7.24.09 - Loram Celebrates a 2 ½ Year Stretch without a Lost-Time Injury

In July 2009, Loram proudly celebrated a two and a half year stretch – more than 4 million man hours – and counting without a lost-time injury. This is a noteworthy achievement for any company, and given the type of work Loram does, is especially remarkable.  Loram recognizes that this safety record is a company-wide effort, reflecting a culture incorporated in the way our machines are designed, built, and operated.

In addition, Loram is the proud recipient of the 2009 Minnesota Governor’s Award for Safety.  Loram has received this award 13 of the last 14 years.  The following are other recent safety awards and honors that Loram has been proud to receive:

  • 2008, 2007, 2005, 2004 Gold NRC award for safety
  • First Place Safety Award from NRC in 2000
  • 97% score in 2008 from Liberty Mutual Insurance safety audit.  This is the highest safety score ever obtained by a company in this audit.
