As of October 31, 2008, Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. hit a milestone by exceeding 3,000,000 hours without a lost time injury, with the operations department just beginning its third year of the record. This is unprecedented for the railroad industry; most would be happy to make it to 1,000,000 hours or 1 year without a lost time injury.
