3.27.12 - Loram Supports Minneapolis High School Engineering Competition in Duluth

Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. is proud to support Minneapolis high school students at Patrick Henry High School for the 10,000 Lakes Regional Finals at the U of M.   Patrick Henry's FIRST Team 2500- "Herobotics", its Engineering/Robotics team, competed at the Lake Superior Regional in Duluth and placed 3rd out of 16 teams.  Patrick Henry students did a great job telling their story of service and outreach to grade school and middle school students. Some added notable features of this year's team include:

    • 58% female representation on the team (our goal was 51%)
    • 2 female engineers added as active mentors to the team
    • 30% increase in the total number of mentors from varied business partners
    • Strong Freshman engagement and overall team leadership for longevity and long term growth

Loram is involved with mentoring students in this program, and has sponsored events such as this.  Please help us congratulate Patrick Henry team members for their great achievements this year.  Please join the team at the FIRST 10,000 Lakes Regional March 29th-31st. at the U of M Williams Arena. On Saturday March 31st Patrick Henry will participate in the 10,000 Lakes Regional Finals at U of M -Williams Arena from 8:30 AM- 4:30 PM.
